About Me
Welcome to my website where you can see a selection of my paintings.
I am based in Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. I previously lived near the Lake District and got early encouragement and advice from the Kirkby Lonsdale Art Society. They gave me my first experience of exhibiting and selling my work. Success in these exhibitions gave me the confidence to continue and develop my art.
I am a self
taught artist and enjoy tackling a varied range of subjects and techniques. I
mostly work in oils as I find this the most satisfying medium to work with. My
work includes various examples of landscape and still life. My recent work has
included landscapes influenced by the nearby Cotswolds, views of northern England and seascapes featuring
the coasts of Devon and
Since moving to Cheltenham I have joined the Cotswold Art Club and am currently the secretary. I have exhibited at the Cheltenham Art in the Park open air exhibition as well as doing exhibitions with the Cotswold Art Club at various locations around Gloucestershire. My work has gone to purchasers throughout the UK as well as to Germany, Thailand, USA, Spain and the Channel Islands.
